#3: Sunshine Suites: We said “renting resources” and this is the best office rental space in town. They have fabulous locations all over the city fully equipped with internet, fax, printing, trendy jazz music, trendy bathrooms, fish pond in the foyer and pricing that can fit every entrepreneur, writer, actor, real estate broker, any other gig that requires an affordable office space on a month-to-month lease. One of our new Shiners, Jon Call, was featured in the New York Times this past weekend!
Call was profiled celebrating his new office inside Sunshine’s NOHO community:
WHY THEY CAME To celebrate Mr. Call’s new work space at Sunshine Suites at Astor Place, a communal office he shares with people from several different fields. “Overflow workers from GQ, people in finance, marketing, accounting,” he said, beaming. “I like that it’s affordable — you share all the costs: overhead, printers, I.T., all of that.”

Recently, Fox 5 NY paid a visit to Sunshine NY’s Tribeca office to discover the new face of office space solutions for start-ups and entrepreneurs. They spoke at length with Sunshine’s own Cheni Yerushalmi on why coworking and flexible office space are both excellent options for businesses in the current economy, and on what happens when companies “graduate” from Sunshine into their own spaces. What is Sunshine?
Sunshine is a community that harbors and supports small business owners and entrepreneurs. I look at Sunshine as a necessity. Being an entrepreneur for the past ten years, I realized how hard and alienating it is to start a business. Why not collaborate with other people that have the same drive and ambition? That’s how it started.
