What’s your favorite word and why?
Malarkey, because what it is and what it means are basically the same thing. And it completely throws people off when you use it seriously.
What’s your favorite color?
Black. Everyone looks good wearing it.
What’s your favorite food?
My mom’s baked ziti. Unstoppable.
If you could throw a party any where in the world where would it be?
I’d throw an all-night rock and noise music show inside an Egyptian pyramid.
What did you do before working at Sunshine? How was that different from what you do now?
I was a software consultant for a CRM company on the Upper West Side. The work was really focused and specific as we only dealt with one particular software package, so the wide-range of responsibilities at Sunshine is a welcome change.
Do you like to dance?
Love to dance. I’m like the second coming of Rick Astley.
Any pet peeves? What are they?
Stickers. They’re filthy and gross. Want to ruin something? Put a sticker on it, done. Your thing will now have either a sticker or a dirty, sticky spot on it forever.
Any interesting hobbies? What are they?
I’m always tweaking a media center that I made. I use it to play and manage my music, movies and TV shows. It runs on open-source software, displays on my TV in HD, and is controlled with a Wii Remote. It’s the coolest toy ever.
What’s your favorite movie?
One of my favorites is Idiocracy. It’s hysterical, and it’s portrayal of the direction society is headed feels eerily accurate.
“ROOMS” is a story of the tangling of love and creativity. The show has been nominated for 5 Helen Hayes Awards, and after successful runs in Washington DC and Rochester NY, “ROOMS” has made its debut Off-Broadway at the New World Stages and I couldn’t be more excited. As a person who loves both rock and romance, I had to stop and think, was this show made for me? And I bet I’m not alone.

With their small Internet business struggling in the wake of the dot-corn bust, Joe Raby and Cheni Yerushalmi resorted to a little real estate contortionism to help them stay afloat.
The pair–who have been best friends since childhood and call themselves serial entrepreneurs–decided to exchange their tiny 200 s/f offices for a much larger 3,600 s/f sublease in a bet that they could divvy up the larger space among a few tenants and break even on rent.
